Last July while I was visiting with my elderly Mom in Connecticut, she became quite ill and died about one week later. It has been a turbulent year with a lot of changes. No matter how old you are, when a parent dies, and especially a mother, the world feels like it's spinning on a different axis. This, in part, explains why I've been missing in action for months and months.

But, I am happy to say the fog has more or less lifted, I am nearly done with my Master's degree, and I can finally imagine joining the human race again.
